Tuesday 28th February, 2023 was the first time electricity power sourced from solar mini grid was switched on at the Pimaga Rural Referral Hospital in Kutubu. The project was funded by USAID and Santos Ltd. Anne Hewago, Kutubu Women Leader and Board Member of the Pimaga Rural Hospital expressed her appreciation and gratitude to Advancing PNG: Women Leaders’ Network for the invite to attending USAID Rural Electrication Roadshow in Port Moresby, which prompted her the desire to see that the rural hospital had electricity 24-7.
