Advancing PNG Women Leaders Network Officially Launches Rural Small Grants Initiative

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – April 25, 2025

In a landmark event celebrating community empowerment, the Advancing PNG Women Leaders Network (APNGWLN) officially launched the Rural PNG Value Adding Small Grants today at their office. The occasion was marked by an inspiring keynote address by Keynote Speaker Ms Diane Kambanei, Director, National Gender-Based Violence Secretariat (Papua New Guinea), with empowering speeches also from Luana Temu, Savinet Limited and Ms Dianne Unagi-Koiam, PNG Women Lead, PNG-Australia Partnership.
Pr Matthew Tapus opened the ceremony with an inspirational thought and prayer with APNGWLN President Ruth Kissam-Tindiwi giving an overview of the Rural Grants Program.
Official Launch wih cake-cutting, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter for rural associations and community groups across Papua New Guinea.

The event brought together representatives from various community groups and rural organizations, all witnessing the launching of the grants scheme that will support impact projects in rural communities.

The Grants are now open and call for applications begin today 25th April until 30th May, 2025.

I am 27 year woman a skills a qualify skills and master coach TOT trainer and project officer working with SSDA organisation in Mendi ,SHP from year 2018-2022 doing our Grassroots Soccer (GRS)Health advocacy program.Our team has reached 8,000 youths to date.Currently I’m working as the project officer for our UNDP Skills for Peace ‘Youth Peace Guides initiative.I want to further empower Women &girls and is applying for the Rural PNG Value Adding Small Grant.
