Global Women in Management (GWIM 75) | Applications Now Open

The Global Women in Management Program

The Global Women in Management Program (GWIM) is implemented by Counterpart International with the generous support of the ExxonMobil Foundation. It is a global effort launched in 2005 to help women in developing countries fulfill their economic potential and serve as drivers of economic and social change in their communities.

GWIM makes a comprehensive long-term investment in women’s management, leadership, and technical skills through training, coaching, and networking. The program leverages more than 40 years of experience with women’s leadership programming and responds to the call for interventions that advance women in the economy and give them greater control over resources.

Investing in women’s leadership and managerial competencies strengthens the capacity of their institutions to launch and expand high-quality, replicable programs and ultimately empower and equip larger numbers of women to participate in their local economies.

We are pleased to offer the 2025 Hybrid (In-person and Online) GWIM 75

GWIM 75 will begin with an in-person session in Washington DC.

After these in-person sessions, the participants will be provided with online training and mentorship sessions and additional group support sessions to boost their knowledge. These online sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00–8:30 AM EST on a monthly or bi-monthly basis (subject to change), totaling 27-30 hours across 18 sessions.

From September 11, 2025, to September 24, 2025, 15 women leaders will participate in GWIM training in Washington DC. This program enhances leadership, project and financial management, strategic communication, fundraising, and advocacy skills, equipping participants with the competencies needed for increased professional responsibilities and accountability. The workshop fosters knowledge exchange, engagement with expert resource persons, and access to valuable resources.

Additionally, up to five women leaders selected out of 15, will attend the Nantucket Project (TNP) program from September 25-28, 2025, in Nantucket, USA. TNP, a non-profit focused on addressing global challenges through dialogue and storytelling. TNP has partnered with Counterpart International to offer selected GWIM participants a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.

Over the course of these several months, you will engage with expert facilitators and women leaders from around the world. The group size is kept small, and the course is designed to allow participants to share their experiences and engage with and learn from their peers. In addition to the required weekly sessions, you will learn through self-guided assignments, group work, and a practicum to apply new knowledge and skills in the workplace.

All applications are due by 11:59 PM EST on March 31, 2025, with no exceptions. Any applications received after that date will not be considered.
