2025 Board and Staff Retreat, January 2025

The Secretariat and Board of Advancing PNG: Women Leaders Network gathered in early January at the Sivarai Namona Pastoral Centre for their 2025 Planning Retreat.

It was a time of reflection, review, and vision for the next 10 years as an organization.

Having celebrated a decade of establishment in February 2024, APNGWLN Inc. eagerly anticipates a successful 2025.

With a membership of over 60 women leaders and their respective community organizations across 15 provinces, one major objective for 2025 is to showcase the impactful work being achieved silently.

As the country commemorates 50 years, we celebrate women’s leadership within our rural communities and continue aligning our values, vision, mission, and leadership principles with our country’s National Goals.

“Your dream is my dream” embodies our commitment to providing access to resources and connecting our women leaders and their organizations. Together, we collectively influence positive change in our communities.

Secretariat and Board Team

Activities during the retreat included visiting the Vision, Mission, Values and Leadership Principles of APNGWLN, mapping out the location of the 60+ members and identifying those that are financial and non-financial.

A vision board of how and where APNGWLN is to be including its individual membership visions put together on a road to the next 50 years drives the slogan of “Your Dream is my dream”

  1. Hello, I would like to get in touch with Ruth Kissam-Tindiwi about a financial arrangement I made for one of her daughters through the PNG Tribal Foundation through Gary Bustin. Ruth and I were in contact two years ago about an academic event I wanted her to participate in. I am an anthropologist with research in Enga Province. SARV is one of my research interests. I would very much appreciate receiving Ruth’s email address. Thanks! Aletta Biersack
