2026 has started off on a high note with the 2026 Staff Planning Meeting, with our newly established provincial hub officers joining us. We have established 5 new provincial hubs that will become the centre point for APNGWLN Members in the respective provinces including providing information for APNGWLN programs and other related resources for the local communities that we serve.

The Planning Workshop included :
- Understanding and knowing APNGWLN
- GWIM Alumni Secretariat and the National Secretariat Office
- APNGWLN Plans Going Forward
Each staff member shared their reflections, challenges for 2025 and the plans for 2026.

The Planning Workshop included a scheduled visit to the 9 Mile Farms to conclude the week program but instead an unplanned excursion took place to the National Parliament Haus.

The visit to the National Parliament House was not part of our schedule, but a timely divine-appointed visit took place at the last minute, and we are so thankful to the Papua New Guinea Parliament team for accepting us. We only asked for permission for a photoshoot outside, but providence had it, that we were granted a special tour inside the chambers also.
A big thank you to Mr David Simoi and his Parliamentary Service Serjeant-At-Arms Division for a very insightful and educational tour of our National Parliament House. For many of us in the team, it was the first time for them going inside the Parliament House.

The visit affirmed our planning for 2026 as we continue to serve our rural local communities through our network of meri leaders who work tirelessly with great commitment and resilience in their respective communities and organisations.

God bless PNG and the year ahead for all of us!
